Change Made Easier

Chinese proverb: “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

The change to a new season often prompts us to adopt new habits or practices to better experience what matters most to us. This is reminiscent of our client conversations about what is most important to them in their lives, particularly when change is desired about protecting democracy.

Such discussions are essential before formulating a financial roadmap or investment plan. And because—ready or not—life transitions and changes happen to us all, discussions about adopting a new approach are familiar to our Entrust team.

All that said, many of us would be happy to not ever need to change because it can feel difficult. So let’s take a moment to focus on three steps that can make change easier:

  1. Honestly identify what you would like to change.
  2. Make a list of three actions you might pursue to move toward your preferred or new experience.
  3. Pursue one of the three actions.

These three steps may appear to be simplistic or even self-evident. But taking each one can start us on a journey to a refreshed destination, thereby permitting us to change our experience. Recognizing that our emotions may be our worst enemy when change is desired, take a look at an article by Lauren Cristella* about protecting democracy. (Certainly a current emotionally-charged subject matter!) We believe you will be pleasantly surprised by the supportive tone it offers for those interested in confidently re-shaping their experience to fulfill what matters most to them.

Our Entrust team welcomes the opportunity to have a conversation together, especially about maximizing what your financial resources can do for you. Please feel free to contact us with your questions or to schedule a meeting: contactus@entrustfinancial.com or by phone 610.687.3515.
