Entrust Financial Founding Principal
We support our investment advice by providing holistic wealth planning to the clients with whom Entrust partners.
As a child I was fascinated by the parable of the talents: the idea that skills and/or money could be put to work to generate results that multiply exponentially over time. In other words, skills and money are resources that may continue to grow, rather than inevitably diminish. This fascination led me to two careers, first in education and second, in the world of finance.
When I began my first career—a twenty-year career of teaching music for the School District of Philadelphia in a poverty-stricken area of the city—I entered the world of education, of individual skill-development intended for a return on investment (ROI) for students that would be life-long and potentially transform their life experience.
My true calling followed when I recognized it was time to move on from teaching and pursue my second career, in finance. A three-year period of intensive training preceded the establishment of my firm, Entrust Financial, in 2000. Entrust is an independent investment management firm. We support our investment advice by providing holistic wealth planning to the clients with whom we partner. I quickly learned that, just as education may be a transformative experience, so can deploying financial resources effectively permit individuals and families to do far more with their money than they previously thought possible—a transformative ROI to get excited about!
To help others understand the tools needed for financial transformation or preservation, I wrote and published “Balancing Act: Wealth Management Straight Talk for Women.” 100% of the proceeds from book sales are donated to a scholarship fund. This fund is our signature Entrust gift, now fully endowed and providing a four-year undergraduate tuition scholarship to a student with financial need to attend Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance. We actively cultivate a firm culture of giving back to our community.
