Entrust Financial Founding Principal

My passion is to help women embrace their financial power.

When I recognized it was time to move on after a twenty-year career of teaching music in a poverty-stricken area for the School District of Philadelphia, experiences from my past led me to my true calling–that of investment advisor and financial planner.

I was prepared to transition from employee to business owner in part because of my own commitment to saving money, a discipline I patiently embraced as I aimed to avoid the financial mistakes I saw around me growing up. It was a thrill when the time arrived for me to establish my investment advising firm, Entrust Financial LLC®, in 2000, following a several year period of training the highlights of which were working one-on-one with a business coach and attaining my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING™ designation.

Today, I am proud to report that Entrust is an independent, fee-based firm. Our team partners with clients to address not only their investment planning needs but also the concerns they have that go beyond investing, such as: planning for a special needs child, for elderly parents, for reducing income taxes, and/or the retirement income they need for later years. Our Entrust team endeavors each day to create a better life experience for everyone with whom we work.

To come full circle regarding my passion for empowering women financially, I recently published, “Balancing Act: Wealth Management Straight Talk for Women.” When not championing women to embrace financial confidence and serve in leadership roles, I enjoy dedicating my time to the community and the arts. Examples include: Entrust’s support of a variety of charitable causes that directly benefit women; service provided to Temple University’s Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts; our company match of all contributions to the “My Best Teacher Scholarship Fund” for students with financial need at Temple University.

  • Investment advising. Each client’s customized investment plan serves as the foundation of their financial house.
  • Financial planning. Client’s needs change over time, thus financial planning may solve for a variety of needs such as budgeting, college planning, retirement savings, income distribution in retirement, and health care needs.
  • Retirement planning: Analysis and identification of each client’s retirement “number.” The number of how much to save for a comfortable retirement, as well as the number pinpointing how much can safely be withdrawn for income during retirement.
