Terror, numbness, anger, panic, loneliness, sadness, vulnerability.....are some of the feelings that envelop a woman who has just become a widow. No one chooses to be a widow or likes being a widow. The enormity of the issues, which have to be faced alone, can be overwhelming.
Statistics suggest that most women - due to divorce or widowhood - will find themselves alone at some point in their lives. It may be naïve for women to assume, "It won't happen to me." Failing to consider such traumatic possibilities does not prevent them.
Grief, coupled with a lack of financial sensibility, is often devastating. We believe that earnestly attending to one's financial situation may contribute significantly to the process of emotional healing. Our system, which begins with a conversation, has been instrumental in helping our widowed clients.
