Donald W. Ewart began serving clients in 1989, following a full career as a music supervisor for the Philadelphia School District. He brought his passion for music and teaching to the world of financial services — helping clients and their families achieve financial security. "What a satisfying challenge!" he often commented. Don found tradition, loyalty, and getting the job done right to be just plain energizing. He served his alma mater, Temple University, with dedication for over 50 years. Don's leadership roles included serving as a Trustee of Temple University, President of the Temple University Alumni Association, President of the Boyer College Alumni Association, and founding President of the Boyer College's Board of Visitors. "Don was a born leader," remarked John MacDonald, a long-time Temple associate and friend. "His innate ability to bring people together to see the bigger picture made him a "go to" person for the greater Temple Community." Joslyn and Don's children — Doug, Scott, Bonnie, Wendi — will join with their extended family, friends and associates to celebrate his life on March 22nd. The annual Temple University Symphony Orchestra and Combined Choirs Concert in Verizon at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts will be dedicated to his memory. Doug characterized his dad's singular spirit, "My father always saw the best in people, and treated them as he would like to be treated. This enabled him to motivate others to do great things." His legacy lives on in all who knew him. |
